Guildly is an app designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world experience by connecting new graduates with small businesses through project-based competitions. After researching the challenges faced by both students seeking practical opportunities and small businesses needing affordable creative solutions, the app was developed with a familiar social-media-inspired interface to keep users engaged while they compete, collaborate, and build their portfolios. The final prototype creates a mutually beneficial ecosystem where students gain hands-on experience and exposure while small businesses receive quality work at accessible prices.
This project redesigns the vinyl cover for John Denver’s *Poems, Prayers & Promises* using original photography of a biker on a sunlit highway to capture the album’s themes of freedom, travel, and home. The image was edited in Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance its warm, nostalgic tone, then finalized in InDesign with simple typography that complements the countryfolk aesthetic. The final design reflects the emotional journey and heartfelt spirit of the album, particularly inspired by “Take Me Home, Country Roads.
