Digital Media (Graphic Design) Program

Joey Carlo Anatalio is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator who graduated in 2025.

Joey is a graphic designer and illustrator who loves clean layouts almost as much as he loves drawing weird fantasy characters. With experience in both ad agencies and corporate teams, he knows how to keep things sharp, on-brand, and occasionally fun. His style mixes structure with a bit of charm or chaos, depending on the brief. When he’s not designing, he’s probably sketching, reorganising his Figma files, or wondering if he can sneak another illustration into the layout.

Highlighted Works

Everspring Sparkling Water

Branding & Typography
Motion & Animation
Product & Packaging

Everspring Sparkling Water is a zero-sugar beverage created for health-conscious Millennials and Gen Z. Designed to blend wellness and enjoyment, the brand offers refreshing flavors with natural, functional ingredients. Its tagline, Find your flow, promotes balance and joy as an alternative to sugary drinks. This project focused on building a playful, clean identity through a custom droplet-shaped logo, soft color palette, and minimalist packaging. The result is a vibrant, approachable brand that communicates health, clarity, and fun—all brought to life in a 15-second animated video.

Xpress Select MVP Platform

Web & UI/UX

Xpress Select is a HealthTech startup that helps patients access over-the-counter treatments or prescriptions through a self-guided kiosk or mobile assessment. Developed with UBC PharmD students, the platform supports community pharmacies by reducing wait times and simplifying intake. This 8-week UX/UI project was part of our Studio course. After research, our team created several user flow iterations to improve clarity and speed. I served as project lead and handled UX design, prototyping, and component creation in Figma. We also simplified medical language with client input and refined the design through weekly check-ins into an intuitive and accessible tool.

The Pantheon Magazine

Art Direction & Strategy
Editorial & Print
Illustration & Photography

The Pantheon is a 16-page editorial magazine that reimagines Greek mythology in a modern context. Inspired by The New Yorker and Vanity Fair, the design blends clean editorial layouts with bold, illustrated visuals. I illustrated the cover and most spreads, drawing influence from Malika Favre’s use of shape, color, and negative space. The magazine features original infographics and three print ads, two adapted from previous projects. I handled layout and typesetting in InDesign, and created all illustrations in Illustrator and Procreate, building a crisp and cohesive aesthetic across the publication.
